Local Homeownership Education Organizations Receive Over $14,000 in Grants

New Hampshire Housing’s Partners in Homeownership Education program recognizes The Housing Partnership and the HOMEteam

The Housing Partnership and the HOMEteam received a boost to their homeownership education efforts thanks to grants through New Hampshire Housing’s Partners in Homeownership Education program. The Housing Partnership received just over $4,400, and the HOMEteam received $10,000. The funding will be used to defray the costs incurred in providing homebuyer counseling and education.

Partners in Homeownership Education is a new initiative by New Hampshire Housing designed to support high-quality homebuyer counseling and education and to advise buyers on how to identify and use safe, affordable mortgage programs. Grants are awarded through a competitive application process. Nonprofits that have shown a proven track record of effective homebuyer education were invited to participate in this inaugural application round. Grant funds can be used for equipment and other capital improvements needed to enhance an organization’s homebuyer education program.

“The Housing Partnership and the HOMEteam have shown great dedication in providing homebuyers with the knowledge they need to successfully navigate the complexities of the homebuying process,” said Ignatius MacLellan, Managing Director, Homeownership Division at New Hampshire Housing. “We’re proud to be able to give them these grants so they can continue their valuable work.”
